Ok, sounds like I received wrong information. That sounds like a good
solid base.

Ok, that sounds like we have the 2 major platforms dealt with, I'm
going to go ahead and begin (re)compressing every file on the site
with pkzip 2.04g. If someone could upload the file, either it will go
in the pub directory or I might have an incoming one by then for
security reasons. (Please leave it UNcompressed unless it is a self
extracting archive, thanks.)

For the record:
The ftp site, known as the /filebox/nyman directory of vtucs.cc.vt.edu
is now using the pkzip 2.04g compression standard. All files of a
reasonable size should be compressed with the exception of GIF
compressed graphics files and files that are small enough to make the
compression not worth it.

The compression utilities WILL be available on the site either in the
pub directory or in the compress directory after I finish
restructuring the directories.

Thanks for your help, If anyone needs instructions, send me private
email. There will be a README file on the host that I hope to put
current information on.
