Dave Emery, National Service Chairman, is requesting that chapters which
are doing projects on National Service Day (that's November 6, I believe)
to send a description of the project, size (# of participants), etc. to
the National Office ASAP, assuming that it is possible to do so at this
time. The Service Committee is planning on selecting 10 projects
(probably 1 per region) to publicize both within the Fraternity and
outside the Fraternity - in other words, the National Fraternity will
help provide PR (through Jack McKenzie's PR committee) in the local area
- hopefully generating larger scale PR for APO as a whole.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT NATIONAL SERVICE DAY IS NOT INTENDED AS A DAY TO DO
SERVICE WITH JUST YOUR CHAPTER, JUST OTHER CHAPTERS, OR JUST APO - IT IS
A DAY TO SERVE WITH ** EVERYBODY ** Your friends, floormates,
roommates, best friends, worst enemies, other organizations, you name
it...EVERYBODY.
I hope I have expressed this well - I'm certain clarification or further
info will be passed along when available. If you have questions, please
direct them to Jack (yes, flood Jack's mailbox with e-mail) at
