Brothers,
Are any of from a chapter that has presented the PVSA before or do you know
about the procedures? I'm a bit confused...I volunteered over the summer,
enough the earn the individual 100 hours-in-a-year award & am tallying my
lifetime service hours. The award order form says all orders must be
accompanied by payment & an award certification form. s this form separate
from the award order form? Does my chapter have to fill out a Certifying
Organization form even though APO is a national partner? How are the letter
& certificates addressed without recipients' names? Apparently, the order
form can be filled out by anyone in APO, but it seems a Service VP or
President would be preferred. Am I correct on this?
For those of you who don't know, there is a national goal of a certain
percentage of Actives earning this this coming year. While my chapter
doesn't do enough annually, nor do even those requiring anything less than
50 hours/semester, I think this would be good to promote in my chapter since
APO is a service organization & a USA Freedom Corps & PVSA partner. Those
in APO, in they continue in service, may be able to earn the Call to Service
(4000 hours) award eventually.
Thank you,
Michael Gallagher
