A few things we would have to know:
1) for what purpose would we create such a web of connections between
service organizations? is it to undertake large scale join service projects?
Is it for parallel recruitment and publicity? is it for educational purposes?

2) from the examples you gave, you seem to be talking about a national level
network rather than just a local or school based network...
to be honest..for a national network to work..the members of the respective
National Boards of Directors would have to sign on or want to do this..

3) which brings us back to, for what purposes?
there are already a fair number of discussions between the different
collegiate service organizations ...In the past year, Ed Richter, our
National Membership Director attended a Gamma Sigma Sigma conveference and
Lynn Mowers, the GSS National President was at the National APO Convention
in New Orleans. I believe that Lisa Covi also made an appearance for
discussion at the recent National Gamma Sigma Sigma convention this summer.
I know that we have staff/ national board members who attend other meetings
such as a Scounting Liaison and sit on service advisory boards.

I know that at the National C.O.O.L. (Campus Outreach Opportunity League)
conferences, they tried to start discussion groups among the various
collegiate service organizations. At the meeting I attended..which was quite
a few years back mind you..I think I was the only one there from Alpha Phi
   Omega and Circle K.

4) not sure where you are going with this idea Michael...I think you need to
articulate why we need such a connection first...ie the goals and objectives
before we can have a legitimate discussion on how such a network would
be established and set up..and how it would operate...

5) FYI, I was the chair for two years of a campus based service network
that brought together 15-30 campus groups who dealt with community service.
common purposes that we worked on: Into The Streets for freshman, volunteer
recruitment fairs for member groups as well as city non-profits, Hunger &
Homelessness Week events, agitating and getting vans for service projects
and office space and funding for student volunteer
   groups...etc etc...
                   in service,
                     Mariza
