[APO-L] Big Brothers/Little Brothers

Hello all,
This is my first post to the list, after having "audited" for quite some
time. My post is regarding how Big Brothers are "revealed" to their Little
Brothers, or vice versa. For our Chapter, there has been ongoing discussion
to change from our standard practice to a new method. Our standard practice
has been to give out photos of the pledges to their respective Big Brothers
during the meditation period of the Ritual. Then, at the end of Ritual, the
Big Brothers "pin" their Little Brother(s) with a pledge pin.
It must be said, that I am a traditionalist, and see no reason to change
this practice. One of the big reasons that people cite when trying to
change this practice is "the awkwardness of meeting your little for the
first time." There have also been instances where Big Brothers pin their
Little Brother, and then leave them high and dry after the ceremony. This
has been a discussion for multiple semesters, and several options have been
presented (clue weeks, games, etc.). But, in an effort to be open minded, I
would like to hear what other Chapters do regarding this.
