FYI, APO-L is set at the IUPUI server to block attachments, so you should never receive any virus or worm from the list. Those worm-generated e-mails also are clearly not APO related, so my filter blocks even the message from getting okayed for distribution if it's coming from a non-subscriber.

Also, during all of this you may get a response in your e-mail from a mail server saying that a message of yours was sent and received by someone you may not even know and identified as containing malicious content (i.e. a worm or virus). This DOES NOT mean that you are infected. (Nor is your computer!) It means that someone both you and the recipient of the message know is infected. The latest viruses pick two names from the victim's address book at random. One to falsely use as the "From:" address, and another to send the message to. Again, I'm pretty confident that we're blocking all of these messages as well.

Have a nice day!
