Opinion 1) I would consider her an alumna, not an alumnus. The use of
"Brother" is not intended to strip her of her gender. We would not
refer to her as "he", or call ther the father of her offspring. Brother
is a specific title, isolated by us from gender within the
organization. It is the title that is gender neutral, not the person.
However....
Opinion 2) I would actually refer to her as a Brother, or more
specifically an Alumni Brother, of Alpha Phi Omega. I am not an alumnus
of Alpha Phi Omega, I am an alumnus of University at Buffalo. I an am
Alumni Brother of Epsilon Sigma chapter, Alpha Phi Omega.
