The COW's are coming to Region III this summer!
What's a COW? Well, a COW is a bovine animal that produces milk and can
be slaughtered to make beef. But that's not the type of COW we're
talking about right now!
A COW in Alpha Phi Omega is a Chapter Operations Workshop. It is a
weekend long summer program that is designed to make our actives better
leaders. The
COW will combine group learning activities with small group facilitation
broken down by functional areas (presidents, service, fellowship, and so
forth). The idea of this weekend is to focus on operations (as opposed
to APO LEADS, which concentrates on conceptual leadership). The program
is very similar to the Chapter Program Workshops (CPW) & Leadership
Institutes (LI) that are being held at various locations around the
nation this summer, although we're tweaking it a bit,...
The COW will be held this summer on June 27-29, 2003, in Salem, VA (at
Roanoke College, which coincidentally is near Roanoke, VA), where, also
coincidentally, the population of cows outnumbers the population of
humans,... So anyone that's going to be in the area this summer is
invited to come on out! It should be lots of fun!
The cost is $50 (same as CPW/LI). You can pay online by VISA/MC, or by
check. For $50, you get a place to sleep on Friday & Saturday nights,
and all your meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday! Not to mention
you get to hang with Beans & I and get to know us better,... ;-)
Look forward to seeing everyone at the COW! Moo! Moo!
REGISTRATION FORMS ARE NOW ONLINE!! Visit the Region III website and
click on the large COW on the page to sign up!!
