Randy, sorry, but those 3 items in the lower part of the shield are NOT trefoils. They are fleur-de-lis, sometimes referred to as arrowheads. As a longtime scout/scouter, trefoils and fleur-de-lis are two VERY different items to me. The Trefoil is the 3 leafed clover design used by World Guiding (aka Girl Scouting), while the fleur-de-lis is the arrowhead/compass head design (same as the design used by the French Royal family and seen a lot in New Orleans) using in World Scouting (Boy scouting, that is).
So our National Magazine should PROPERLY be titled "Torch & Fleur-de-lis". <BIG GRIN>
