Who are your school's rivals?
Who would you most likely see a bedsheet hanging out a dorm room Window
with "Go <your school>, Beat <Their school>"
Alpha Phi Omega can bring Rivalry and Service together!
Does your rival school have a chapter?
If yes, set up a service project with the other chapter that uses the
rivalry to get people serving.
University of Michigan and Ohio State have Blood Battle to see which
campus can donate more blood.
Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have had adjacent face painting tables
on the day off the big game.
Uof Richmond and Virginia Commonwealth compete in the teeter-totter
service project.
Pitt and WVU do a project involving taking the football for the game from
one campus to the other There are other possibilities out there!
If not, you may want to set up one of these anyway even if the group on
the other end isn't APO! Also, School rivals tend to be similar types of
schools, so your chapter may have a very good idea of what is needed to
have a chapter at your rival, talk to a staff member about that!
