Zeta Delta's 55th anniversary celebration will be held at Miami University
(oxford, Ohio) on Jan 11th. 2003 is a very important year for us because
we will not only be celebrating our own anniversary, but the anniversaries
of three of our advisors, Dr. Kenneth MacDiffett (50 yrs), Dr. John Clover
(25 yrs) and Ed Richter (20 yrs), and we are very honored to not only
celebrate our chapter's history and accomplishments, but the dedication
and contribution that these three men have made to our chapter and the
fraternity as a whole. Cost is $5, and I am not sure if we decided on
appetizers, desserts, or both (we decided not to have a full meal in order
to keep the cost down so that it would be affordable to all brothers who
wish to come...many of us are poor after nationals and our chapter has
several other events coming up for us.) If you want more info on this
event please contact either myself (kuhnrm@muohio.edu) or our Celebration
planning chair Kelly Spirakus at spirakkk@muohio.edu. We would love to
see you there. If you need help making overnight accomodatoins (ie
crashing at someone's house/apartment) we can work on that, too.
I am still a little confused as to when all the changes made this past
week go into effect. I know that the changes to legislation are currently
in effect now, however, do the fees that were raised go into effect
immediately or is it the next fiscal year? (pledge fee, activation fee,
etc) and if it is the next fiscal year, when does that start? Many
chapters have rush coming up in January and need to make sure pledges are
paying the correct amount! :) And if someone would be so kind as to put
the reference numbers of the passed legislation over APO-L that would be
greatly appreciated. I tried to keep track of it while on the floor so
that I can go over my own chapter's bylaws in the next few weeks and make
sure they are up to date, but I want to make sure I did not miss anything.
I miss you all and New Orleans as well!! :) My boyfriend and I walked
around on the 31st and took a bunch of pictures on his digital camera, if
you would like to see them here is the URL:

I'll have pictures from the actual convention developed soon, they are on
my camera. Does anyone know if the pictures from the slide show at the
banqwt will be available online? I was in about 4 of them so I would like
to be able to have those, and I think our historian may like to use some
of them to show our chapter what nationals was like.
I can't wait 'till Denver, but hopefully I will see many of you before then.
In brotherhood,
Rachel Kuhn
