on my programmed into my channels. And I know some "white" people
like rap music. I know many black people who don't like rap music.
That is why if you read back I stated (some people), not "all"
whites or "all" blacks. Because their are other races within this
organization. But allow me to re make my point, using my same
analogy.

Some people do not like rap music. But there are those who don't
even find it interesting, so they tend to not even stop on the
channels to hear it. They'll skip over it just to find their
favorite channel. I do country music that way. I have a low
tolerance for most country music. But occasionally one might find
me and it'll turn out to be very interesting. Most people do not
go out the way for something they know will not interest them.
And others will even attempt to influence others not to be
interested. This is true in all races. I've even heard of a
members feeling odd with a majority asian chapter within Alpha Phi
Omega. It happens to be that different people are drawn to what
interest them. And there is nothing wrong with that. Because
believe me, from what I know each race is in their comfort zone.
But if you want understanding you have to cross those lines and
investigate. You can't go just by what you heard, and make
judgements for a poor vantage point. Each and every time, your
judgement will be aimed through a wide atmosphere. And will almost
never be on target. Just because you know some black people and
listen to there music, you still can't imagine what kind of
pressures they have when they are constantly amoungst each other.
Some people can, because they've actually live that life. And I
know some white people that can tell the difference. There are
white females within Gamma Sigma Sigma that are always at functions
that we have that are predominately black, and they do feel
comfortable. But within all worlds each individuals has to make the
decision to explore other worlds on there own.

Example: A black brother told me that he went to a sectional
conference and when he told them that he doesn't have "rushes"
he calls them "smokers" the brothers he was talking to laughed at
him. Even though that tradition may be older than them.

Within Alpha Phi Omega, there are judgements being made without
thorough investigation from the mainstream. And that, to me, will
always be and unjustified act. You'll never know what is real when
you judge from a tower. And that has been how Ay-Phi-Que has been
judged within Alpha Phi Omega. How bad is it. Within Alpha Phi
Omega, Ay-Phi-Que rarely gets a second chance. What ever is stated
always seems to precieve to being as true.

Let me stop here, it's getting late.
