Epsilon Zeta uses them, but not to the extent they were when I pledged back
in Spring 1988, which I think is a bad thing. I had to have the book with me
all the time within reason and have brothers sign their page whenever i saw
them. Not as obtrusive as it might sound- basically pull the book out of my
backpack in the APO office while I was there. I learned a lot about the
brotherhood in a very short time.
Lat few years I was active, I'd be lucky if I saw half the books just once.
I used to walk into a voting meeting asking "who is so-and-so pledge"? You
almost NEVER heard that question 10-12 years ago.
The book is more than a record- it's a membership motivator.
