I got the feeling from the tone of your post even before the final
paragraph that the chapter had been forced to defend itself on its
policies repeatedly, my issue was not with the complete pledging process.
Your policies allow for additional checks and balances.
I would hope that a synopsis of the rules just mentioned (if not the
examples) is given to the pledges in the first week or so of pledging...
