ah, but what about an on campus scavenger hunt organized by a fellowship
chair where brothers and pledges are teamed up to get to know each other
better? Add to that clues which involve information about the pledges
and brothers in the fraternity? Seems like that might be fostering
fellowship to me.
The scavenger hunt portion of the risk management policy was always
something I thought needed a lot more clarification. I have a feeling
the spirit of it was to prevent illegal activities and prevent pledges
(and brothers) from being singled out or asked to do unreasonable
things. (be at the library at 4 am with 3 cans of spam) My brother
pledged a social at one point and did a scavenger hunt. some of the
things they had to find and bring back: the "please wait to be seated"
sign from a pizza hut, a shopping cart, and a stop sign. Now, while the
first two could be illegal if you don't ask to borrow them, I can't see
any way to get a stop sign legally and safely...
