I'm sorry to sound stupid, but I've been away for a while and had mass
e-mails in my box so I ended up deleting most of the APO-L subjects. Could
someone please provide me with a readers digest of this whole Joel Bryant
thing?

I don't know any more than anyone else, but I think it is safe
to assume that this is an issue about which the National Office
is not going to provide us with any further information until
the beginning of the convention.
(i.e., when disciplinary matters are discussed.)

From what I have seen, decisions to recommend disciplinary
action are not made lightly, but neither are they preordained...
there is even more than the usual deliberation before a vote.

ps -- as an advisor, however, I would like better guidance on
an action for which discipline is appropriate, than to say simply
that it is a violation of the Risk Management policy. 'Risk
management' is supposed to be a routine sort of thing that is
central to chapter planning, and violations of it usually do
not cross the line from 'that doesn't need to happen again'
to 'we need to be really upset about this'... if something
genuinely bad happens, can't we call it something else?
If nothing else it makes discussion much easier...
