I think that having an unsubscribed brother ask a subscribed brother to post
for him/her is preferable to recieving the spam as well. I don't want to
sound exclusionary as I know that APO is not an excusionist orginazation,
but in this case I think it might be best.

I agree. As far as the issue of non-subscribed brothers being able to
post, there has been many a time when an unsubscribed brother that has
a message for APO-L has simply asked a subscribed brother to post it.
I've heard of that happening more often than an unsubscribed brother
posting directly. I think that's a lot more reasonable than having to
receive offensive spamming.
