My Dearest Alpha Phi Omega Brothers:
Following up to my message of "America will survive and advance forward" one year ago on this day of 9/11. Our beloved country has indeed endured, survived, and admirably advanced forward, since the unfortunate tragedy.
I write to you from NYC in Manhattan. Visiting Ground Zero earlier today, listening to the Eternal Flame Ceremony, and singing God Bless America with thousands other people in Central Park is my attempt as a tribute to the families, victims, and heroes whom gave the ultimate sacrifice of themselves to help others on that fateful day a year ago, or prevent another unfortunate tragedy from occurring.
Let us not ever forget what happened in Lower Manhattan, The Pentagon, and in the state of Pennsylvania on 9/11/01. How our beloved country has joined together in unison and patriotism to show the world what the United States of America is all about.
Each and all of us have remained committed and strong throughout the healing process to this current day and time. We are an enduring nation of people who exemplify the principles of freedom and independence, and for the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness.
God Bless America. United We Stand Together Always. From Sea to Shining Sea.
