[APO-L] MDA Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon

This past weekend was the MDA Jerry Lewis Telethon. I don't know if other APO chapters participated with their local MDA groups this weekend, but I can tell about one that did. Here in South Florida, members of ADT Chapter at Nova Southeastern University, along with some area APO Alumni participated with the local telethon. During the last half hour of the telethon (6-6:30pm Monday), when they switched to the local affiliates, one of the announcers pointed out that a Service Fraternity, APO was working the phones in the studio. Toward the end they spoke on the air with 2 of the 4 Brothers in the studio (the other two where on the phones). All told, we had 9 APO volunteers working with the local telethon.
Chapters should contact their local MDA groups to participate in the Telethon. Most will need advanced signups, so this is something you will have to organize over the summer.
