It is my great honor to tell you that the Fall Pledge Class Namesake is
Mr. George Dacy. In brief, Mr. Dacy has been a Brother of Alpha Rho for
over 64 years, and an active Advisor for over 34 years. Mr. Dacy joined
the chapter in 1934 at the encouragement of the future third president of
Alpha Phi Omega, Dean Arno Nowotny and was installed by the current
National President H. Roe Bartle.
Mr. Dacy had to leave the chapter to serve in World War II, but upon his
return picked up where he left off and went on to serve the chapter for
many, many years.
Mr. Dacy is an amazing man who has given of his time and energy to making
Alpha Phi Omega the outstanding organization it is today. He will be an
inspiration for the future members of Alpha Phi Omega.
