I think that the only way to see if there's support or not would be to call
hotels and C-of-c's at cities in question and negotiate. Let's not assume
anything without doing the homework at least. You never know.
As for suitability of convention, I guess that's what is up to the voters to
decide. I tend to believbe that any city could host- regardless of outside
distractions. New Orleans is big time distractions, so we'll see what
happens in December...

Things are still being finalized within Reg X.

No chapter at UNLV yet. And there isn't (or won't be soon) a chapter in
Reno, but a new group is getting started on rechartering it. As far as
Tahoe/Reno, I doubt we'd be able to get support. Tahoe definitely
doesn't need the business at that time of year, and I doubt Reno does
either; it's probably pretty busy like Vegas is. And since I just spent
3 months in Vegas, I'm not sure that it would be a suitable place for a
convention.
