Actually, Mark, I don't find you sounding anti-Scouting. I do agree that
we should teach history, but I think that we also need to discuss the
principles of Scouting and how they relate to what we teach our Pledges
about Leadership, Friendship, and Service. Yes, some of the policies that
the Scouts have made are...unpopular...but the underlying principles,
viewed differently amongst different people, need to be addressed, too, I
believe.
