At the risk of sounding Anti-Scouting (which I'm not...)
What does teaching this information do for our members? What is the benefit
to Alpha Phi Omega in teaching this information? And do the Boy Scouts
teach about our structures, etc. in their organization?
Certainly, our history and roots lie in the Scouts, and from a historical
perspective, you bet we should address that. But the organization of the
Scouts? I don't know about that.
I guess I'd need more info, but I'd be MUCH more interested in hearing what
the active members have to say about this - their chapters will be the ones
to have to address this if this becomes policy.
