I'm intimately familiar with the reactivation of Zeta Phi chapter of Alpha
Phi Omega. Zeta Phi is in the process of reactivation. They have (as of
today) achieved interest group status with 26 members. They brought about
15 members of the Interest group to the Section 84 conference held last
weekend and *set* the standard for levels of excitement there. Zeta Phi
went inactive in 1998 and if all goes well should reactivate in 2003
(unlikely to get everything done by the end of the calendar year, though
there is good chance they will try)
Zeta Phi *HAS* had female brothers. In the Early '90s, Zeta Phi had zero
brothers and two transfer brothers kept the chapter going. The lines they
brought on included women.
Given that, why should Alpha Phi Omega treat the reactivation of Zeta Phi
chapter any differently than they did the reactivation of University of
California at Irvine? (Should we judge people by the color of their skin?)
