Just another thought:
if individuals wish to join a single-gender chapter, why not just attend =
a single-gender institution? I'm sure there are some very fine schools =
out there (Wabash College is right here in Indiana, for anyone who might =
be interested.)
Just an alternative solution.

Okay, help nations settle their difference=20
other than war. That actually
was intented to be done by helping to develop=20
these young men. I=20
never knew there was a female leader of=20
Pakistan. But you cannot
object to the focus of Supplement Manhood=20
Development that was in=20
Frank Reed Horton, no matter how you look at it=20
today. Sure women
can learn Friendship, leadership and service. =20
I never said that=20
they shouldn't. What's just plain wrong is not=20
letting a group=20
follow in the footsteps of Frank Reed HOrton. =20
That door should have
never been closed. It was the very idea that=20
created this=20
organization. That you can't deny. You can't=20
have peace when=20
you are turning away peaceful individuals. =20
Somebody's bound to get
upset. And who knows it just might be the=20
spirit of Frank Reed
Horton himself just attempting to make things=20
totally right. =20
>As ahead of his time as he was, I just don't=20
think he could have=20
>envi-sioned the gender equality that we have=20
nowadays.
How do you know. We don't know what he would=20
be thinking. He might
very well be thinking like his age and times. =20
There are plenty of things that
didn't get changed until he died. The Boy=20
Scout requirement didn't
get removed until 1967. And he died in 1966. =20
What makes the=20
gender equality that we have today, have=20
anything to do with what=20
Frank envisoned anyway. Think about it. We=20
placed gender equality=20
in a fraternity because we had to. Not because=20
WE were thinking=20
about gender equality. Gender quality was=20
forced upon us as we=20
are forcing it upon any individual groups that=20
comes to us. =20
Don't think that I don't want women in this=20
organization. I really don't mind, if thats=20
what they want to do. I just want "anybody" to=20
have a chance to join, just as they use to.
JayBEE!
Humility is must be learned=20
(you have to want it to=20
acquire it), but Imperialism=20
is hereditary, (you have to=20
want to remove it from your=20
system).
