Apologies to those who already saw this on SOC.
Anyone on APO-L who was on the list around the 1992-93 school year would
remember Tony D'Orazio. It was his prolific postings on humor, poetry, etc.
on -L that helped cause APOSOC-L to get started. Tony is an alum of Alpha
Beta Beta chapter at St Bonaventure U. in Section 89.
Now you can see him on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire"- he is CURRENTLY in
the "hot seat", having advanced to the chair near the end of last night's
(Thursday, 8/17) episode, and is now carrying over to Sunday night's episode
with a $1000 bankroll and 2 of 3 lifelines remaining.
I'm not surprised that brothers will eventually start filtering in to these
game shows. I for one am trying out for the same show, but last November, an
RPI alum won $1000 on Millionaire. Although he wasn't in APO, he was the
leading student candidate in my chapter's Meanest Man On Campus in 1991 (the
one I chaired). And I remember seeing a brother from William and Mary
several years ago on Wheel of Fortune and hearing sporadic other rumors of
brothers popping up on game shows since then.
Just to show you you never know where APO may pop up next. :)
