*lots of stuff edited that wasn't relevent to this post*
Just wanted to clarify a few misconceptions. F.R.Horton was not an
Eagle Scout. He didn't become involved in Scouting until after he was
in the Navy, and only served in adult roles in the council. Also, there
were only 1 or 2 of the Founders who were Eagle Scouts, a neat little
tidbit learned about at the Easton Event, but off-hand I don't remember
who. Anybody remember?
But it was F.R.Horton's experience at Boy Scout camp that he realized
that those of different faiths, beliefs, etc, could get along and accept
one another for being "different". So why can't we just accept that the
BSA is different from us and let them be, just like they're letting us
be. If you feel that the "Scouting for All" movement (which I haven't
heard of) is important to you, then join as an individual citizen, and
not bring APhiO into the middle of a political agenda (which, btw, we
are prohibited from being involved in).
