Actually I saw a newspaper from an August of July in the 1890's from one of
the towns about 30 miles south of lafayette and the front page story was a
blizard in the middle of july that dumped 5 inches. of course it very
quickly melted and was a big fluke but there is a very slim chance that it
could happen scince the closest thing to snow in July/August scince then
has been hail.
