Greetings Brothers!

The Summer 2000 Chapter Program Workshops are officially underway,
with the completion this past weekend of the first-ever CPW to be
held in Minnesota. But that's just the start, and there's a
special CPW at the end of the summer that you may not have
noticed in earlier promotions. If you don't have plans already,
maybe you should start thinking about spending the end of July in
Arkansas:

If the benefits of a CPW sound good to you, but spending most of
the weekend outdoors also sounds appealing, then register for
a new-style CPW being offered in Fayetteville, Arkansas, July
28-30! Utilizing a Challenge/Ropes Course, participants will
explore the roles of leadership in the Fraternity, the use
officers to coordinate tasks, utilizing members' strengths to
succeed in developing and initiating a service program, and
focusing on team dynamics for a successful chapter.

This CPW is being offered as a new alternative to the traditional
style program. The overall content for Fayetteville CPW is the
same as the others being offered nationwide. The difference is
how the information will be shared with and by participants.
Participants should plan for an outdoor experience and be prepared
for hot weather and rain. Also, the day is experiential in
design and will require each participant to be fully engaged in
all activities.

Registration and introductions will be on Friday night. Saturday,
the participants will spend the day on the Challenge/Ropes course.
Saturday evening will be filled with participant discussion and
we will conclude on Sunday morning with conclusions and evaluations.

If you register for this CPW you will need to complete a medical
release form and confidentiality statement as required by the
owners of the Challenge/Ropes course. This will be done when
you arrive at the University of Arkansas campus. If you have
any questions regarding this session, please feel free to
contact Dr. Fred Heismeyer at leadteam@dicksonstreet.com or by
calling 501-756-9615 (day or evening).

We are excited about this new twist on a very successful program
and invite you to be a participant!

To register for this or any other remaining summer CPW, use the
registration form that was sent to your chapter or register
online via the National Office web page:

                http://www.apo.org/meetings/cpw2000reg.htm

A downloadable copy of the mail-in registration form is also
available at:

                http://www.apo.org/PDF/CPWform.pdf

If you have questions, please contact Susan Harris in the
National Office at (816) 373-8667 or admin@apo.org. Detailed
information, including directions and a list of what to bring,
will be sent to all preregistered participants prior to each CPW.

Fraternally,
