I remember meeting some brothers from Seton Hall at Regionals in 1997, but I
am not sure if i met Sohayla. I do remember Amy Reina, and I do remember
that the Seton Hall contingent was only a few people, so perhaps I did. The
only other clear picture of a person from SHU there was a blond female, but
I forgot what her name was.
in any case, this incident was very sad to hear. I looked on the internet
last night and found an article on it from a New Jersey newspaper. It
claimed that a student witnessed the kidnapping of Sohayla by an
ex-boyfriend and immediately sought assistance from campus security but the
security officer only told the student to go down to the police station to
inform them, rather than intervene or call the police himself. if this is
true, this is outrageous! The article said that the security officer has
been dismissed or suspended, pending an investigation. This is all I know.
Sadly,
