I am also in favor of socials involving other campus organizations.

My view is this:
As a Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, it is our obligation to promote all three
cardinal principles on our campuses.

As Brothers of A-Phi-O, we are constantly encouraging Campus participation
in our Service Projects. (Any UMOC project would immediately come to mind,
however, there are many more.)

Leadership is also encouraged campus wide...by being officers inn your
chapter, and even officers in other organizations. Your chapter can also do
other events to promote leadership. For example, I planed a leadership
workshop for campus organizations this past fall. It was sponsored by Alpha
Phi Omega and our Student Government.

Falling in line, Friendship should be no different. We should actively seek
out and promote friendship outside of our chapters. Haveing social events
with other organizations helps promote one of our principles as well as the
image of Alpha Phi Omega on campus. Benefits also include an increase in
personal friendships, and an increase in membership in the chapter. (New
friends today can = new pledges tomorrow!)

So I say, horray for you. Continue to promote FRIENDSHIP on campus. It is
a principle on which this Fraternity was founded!

In LFS,
