I couldn't reference those URLs. Netscape just showed
an error that it could not find what it was looking
for.
But if you are interested in the text of the
legislation, or a summary, go to:
http://thomas.loc.gov/
Under "Legislation" click on the Bill Summary & Status
for the Previous Congress (not 106th). Go down to
"Public Law" and search for the Public Law #105-19,
which was signed into law by one of our brothers on
June 18, 1997.
19. S.543: A bill to provide certain protections to
volunteers, nonprofit organizations, and governmental
entities in lawsuits based on the activities of
volunteers. (Sponsor: Sen. Coverdell).
