I agree. To me, it sounded like someone sent the
message to the list in some sort of bulk e-mail
package. I would be willing to bet that the individual
does not subscribe to our list, and probably does not
even know what our organization is about. He probably
decided to advertise some sort of college program, and
wanted to do so by sending messages to listservs that
college students were known to subscribe to (apo-l is
hosted by IUPUI.EDU).
Whatever his intentions, political or not, the message
to me is classified as Unsolicited Commercial E-mail,
and not only does not belong on this list, it is also
unlawful when sent on computer networks or utilizing
computers within the Commonwealth of Virginia. But
most importantly, this topic has nothing to do with
the purpose of APO-L, nor Alpha Phi Omega National
Service Fraternity, so let's please drop this subject,
and move on to discussing something more productive
(those lawyers and legal types among us can continue
discussing this on
