For the record, the Symantec web site,
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/vinfodb.html

which is usually quite accurate about these things, does not list that
particular virus, but it does list W32.Kriz.3740.  Its characteristics are
roughly similar, and the treatment methods match.  The write-up dates to
Aug. 18, 1999, and the likelyhood of occurrence is estimated as "rare".

In other words, and this is my opinion only, I would believe this one, and
recommend the usual precautions including frequent updates to antivirus
software and being sensible about downloads and attachments, but no
particular panic is necessary.
