Well, it's august 1st already, the summer's winding
down, and classes at most colleges start up at the end
of this month!

Well, let's get a little friendly discussion started
on the listserv here,...

I was wondering if other chapters have done any
planning or have any ideas for rush? Are there any new
and interesting ideas out there? Or do you just
basically wait for classes to start and basically
"wing it" by doing all the planning in a cram-phase
the night before?

Also, how does your chapter handle the pledging
process? Do pledges attend a separate meeting, or are
they allowed to attend the chapter's general meeting?
Do pledges participate in "chapter politics", or are
they basically isolated from those discussions? Are
they active participants in committee meetings, or do
they basically sit back as observers? Does your
chapter have a listserv, and if so, are pledges on it?
Do you have a separate list for pledges?

Also, if anyone is interested, I have created a
website for Alpha Delta Iota Chapter at VCU. You may
view it here (please stop in and sign our Anything
Page/Guestbook):
