And the new page has in-correct information on it... I ceased being a
Section Chair in April (through retirement) and suddenly with the new
page... I'm back...
From the timing of the page going up it seems like there was a deadline
of this past board meeting for the page to be up... and well someone put
the new page up, even if inaccurate to meet a "deadline"

I sit behind an OC-12 connection here at work (building to building) and
an OC-192 connection to the net at large, with OC-3 to my desk top,
(I work at one of the core gateways (GTE Internetworking))
and it's SLOW, painfully slow... so the bottle neck is not on the
this end... trust me I know... my pager would be going off if it was
and my e-box would be filling with trouble tickets.
There are also issues with the java calls on the second paging crashing
the web broswer on certain platforms with certain versions of JDK...
someone needs to do some QA on the page...
also what's with this first page? 800x600? like come on...

I should hope in this organization that we would use volunteer
service for things like this? Fuzz and his staff of volunteers
were doing a great job, I'm sad to see them replaced...
also I'm going to miss the announcements (on the web and on -L)
and change logs Fuzz put up... I know I, and I bet a lot of
others... just went and looked at that change log (daily).
as to WOW! Marketing... it looks like they are a Colorado Springs
based company... so my guess is John Wetherington is the best one
to ask about who they are... my question is was there a bid process
involved? how much are we paying? why are we paying (when we had a
well done web page for free)
but progress moves on...
