Hello all,
The first project of the year for alumni and brothers of the DC, Northern
Virginia, and Maryland region is set up. Brother Jeremy "Tanner" Licata and
I have spoken with and planned an outdoors event that is both service for
the nation and the local community; Greenbelt National Park in Greenbelt MD
has need of people to help clean and maintain the hiking trails in the park.
This is also the first service project for our fledgling alumni association
interest group, the Mid-Atlantic Region Alumni Association, so please come
or if you can not make the 8th but are interested in helping us at any time
as either Association Officers or Chairs please contact either Jeremy Licata
(dcnblus@hotmail.com) or myself, James Thomas (dremwlkr@ix.netcom.com).
A head count is necessary for the Park Service so all interested parties
please contact me at the address above.

Estimated end time: 3:00 pm
Meeting Place at the Park is the Sweetgum Picnic area, if it is required for
our vehicles to be moved to another less used picnic area we will be
informed the day of the event.
Items you need to bring:
Outdoors grunge clothes and work gloves if you have them.
All other tools will be supplied by the Park!
Principle Duty:
We will be spreading woodchips along the trails to prevent soil erosion as
well as cleaning up any trash we find along the trail are we are assigned
to.
We do need a headcount please respond to this account if you will be coming
out to the project.
