Man O Man

I am so there with you. We are so big but greatly not influential in thi=

I'm not sure if this is what you meant, Jami. But what I do know is that=

Member #1 says these words in the induction ceremony (it's also in the
pledge manual which is also public domain so don't flame me just yet).
Well guess what. Today, I say young boys in their teens gun down one
another. 25 people dead. Because two young boys in their teens.

Frank Reed Horton wanted to make Alpha Phi Omega "an organization for
college men who cooperated with all you movements." He wanted to help
young people get the right start in life, whatever that may be. I don't
know. I don't know if we're getting through to them. We've heard about
too many of these schools shootings. Something's not right.

I don't know if it's us as a society or what, but something smells roten.=

Kids shouldn't be gunning eachother down. Kids fight with their fists an=
d
their words. Kids shouldn't be fighting with guns. And yet here they
are, throwing pipe bombs and busting caps like there's no tommorrow.
Things like this shouldn't happen.

I'm not really sure what my point is, and it's probably not the most
approipriate thing to go over the list. My heart goes out to all those i=
n
Colorado who have just seen the ugly side of America's Youth. I guess I
just feel like there should be something that we can do. I mean, we were=

founded by a Boy Scout. There's gotta be something we can do.

I'm sorry if this has just been one more email in your box, but I just ha=
d
to get this out to somebody. I wish we lived in a place where they didn'=
t
need an organization like us. I mean, it should be human nature to just
want to help out eachother. But I guess I'm just a naive college kid wit=
h
too much time on his hand.

Good morning America. Can you see the light?

Yours in LFS

Jami
