Greetings, everyone!!! I'd like to take a brief moment of time to
thank and congratulate Nan Santivong, Daniel Satake, and the rest of
the members of Gamma Alpha (University of Washington) for their
excellent job hosting the Section 8 conference this past weekend. My
alma mater has done me proud... ;-)
We had folks from each of Section 8's 6 chapters, one potential
interest group, and folks from a ways away -- Montana and Georgia. I
would like to thank all the brothers who were able to attend the
conference, especially those who traveled half the country or more to
join us!
That said, of course there was also a bit of business which was taken
care of, which consisted of:
1. Setting of dates for a fall fellowship conference and next year's
spring leadership conference:
Fall Fellowship at Zeta Psi (University of Oregon): Oct. 15-17
Spring Leadership at Eta Xi (Central Washington U): April 7-9
More info on these events will follow.
2. Election of myself (Cliff Gilley) as the new Section 8 Chair.
Once again I just want to say thank you to Gamma Alpha for hosting one
heck of a conference!!!
And for those who weren't able to make it to our Sectionals, but still
want the opportunity to experience Setion 8 hospitality...the Region
X/XI Conference will be held in Seattle (by the Gamma Alpha chapter)
this coming December, the 27th through the 30th. You're all invited!!!
YiLFS,
Cliff Gilley
Section 8 Chair
Gamma Alpha (U of WA) Alumnus
