I've posted information on Gamma Sigma Sigma over the last couple of
weeks. I thought I'd post information on Omega Phi Alpha. GSS and OPA are
both national Service Sororities.

Omega Phi Alpha's founding is much more closely tied to Alpha Phi OMega.
The Alpha chapter of OPA was formed at Bowling Green State U(Ohio) in 1953
after a large number of women showed up at a meeting to see if another
organization was needed to help APO with projects around the campus and
the community.

The Omega Phi Alpha National web page is www.omegaphialpha.org.

OPA has 23 charters and of those 16 are active (~70%). Of the 16 chapters,
10 are at schools where the APO chapter is co-ed, 1 is at a school with an
all-male APO chapter, 4 are at schools where the APO cahpter is inactive
and 1 is at a school with no APO charter.
