        Here's more information on the Philippine National Convention in
May. I'd encourage to begin looking into airfares if your planning on
attending the festivities in Davao City, Mindanao, Philippines. As
always
if you've got any question, encouragements, or concerns please feel free

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Our warmest fraternal greetings!

We are inviting you to attend our 20th Alpha Phi Omega International,
Philippines, National Biennial Convention at Green Heights Business and
Convention Center along Diversion Road, Buhangin, Davao City, on May
7-9,
1999.

In this connection, please be guided by the following information:

1.0 REGISTRATION FEES

1.1.1 Live-in Delegate -- Alumni -- Early Registration -- PhP2,100;
During
Convention -- PhP2,500
1.1.2 Live-in Delegate -- Resident -- Early Registration -- PhP1,700;
During
Convention -- PhP2,000

1.2.1 Live-out Delegate -- Alumni -- Early Registration -- PhP1,500;
During
Convention -- PhP1,800
1.2.2 Live-out Delegate -- Resident -- Early Registration -- PhP1,000;
During
Convention -- PhP1,200

1.3 For Live-in Delegates, the registration fee is inclusive of eight
(8)
meals and four (4) snacks plus air-conditioned rooms and hotel amenities
good
only for 150 delegates.

1.4 For Live-out Delegates, the registration fee is good only for five
(5)
meals and four (4) snacks (no breakfast). We will send to you the rates
of the
nearest hotels, apartelles, dormitories, and lodging houses from the
Convention Center in our next communications.

1.5 The deadline for early registration is April 23, 1999. We therefore
encourage you to register as early as possible.

2. CONVENTION CENTER

Green Heights Business and Convention Center is one of the newest and
most
accessible convention centers strategically located along Diversion
Road,
Buhangin, Davao City. It is only a few minutes ride from the airport and
the
heart of the City. The Convention Hall on the third floor can
accommodate
1,000 participants, and the second floor can house 150 live-in delegates
in
all air-conditioned rooms.

3. DRESS CODE

In line with our program of professionalism, we shall implement House
Rules
and Dress Code during the three-day convention. We shall be in formal
attire
in all sessions, socials, and during meals/snack time.

For Brother's Formal Attire -- coat and tie, long or short sleeves with
tie,
long or short sleeves barong, pants

For Sister's Formal Attire -- gown, formal dress

There will be no wearing of short pants, rubber shoes, sandals,
slippers, or
t-shirts without collar during meals and in all sessions. Our Convention
Marshalls shall be always on alert to enforce this Dress Code.

4. REGIONAL PRESENTATION

Awards await Good, Better, and Best Presentations. We encourage all RDC
to
prepare a 3-5 minute presentation: song, dance, skit (comical or not),
and
others.

5. REGIONAL EXHIBITS

All RDC can bring their Regional Display/Photo/Exhibit. We can provide
space
for this purpose. Prizes also await Best Displays/Exhibits.

6. All RDC/ADD/Chapters/Brothers/Sisters are not allowed to bring any
souvenir
items with APO insignias for sale. It is now our National Office Fund
Campaign
that will undertake this. If you have some items for sale, make
arrangements
with the National Office; otherwise, they will be confiscated.

7. All delegates must have a renewed APO I.D. Further, Chapters must
have
settled their obligations with the National Office, such as renewal of
Annual
Charter Fees and other obligations.

Once again, Region XI will be hosting a National Convention after 10
years
when we hosted the 15th National Convention at Camp Alano, Toril, Davao
City,
in May 1989. And we hope we can give you the same reputation of

better hosting, and good amenities in this 20th Convention.

Biennial
Convention and share with our membership the great accord on the ideals
of
Alpha Phi Omega.
