Your making a gross assumption error here Randy. Your assuming
a) They have to file bylaws with the school
b) They have
c) They have and they've kept them up to date
d) They have and they've kept them up date and they follow them.
e) The bylaws actually get into ANY detail about "pledging"
f) That if something went wrong they'd not turn a blind eye toward it.
considering my experiences while a student at WPI I've little or no
faith
in paperwork filed with the school by members of Greek Council. Most
National
Fraternities prohibt hazing... most local chapters have it written right
in
there bylaws that hazing is prohibitted. I can only think of ONE case in
my four years at WPI where I saw a "greek" chapter actually follow
through on enforcing that prohibition. The only way to "know" a chapter
at Dartmouth is to be a member of the Dartmouth community and watch,
listen, and learn.
