Brandi:

As a bisexual alum of Mu Chi Chapter, Indiana University of PA, I can put
in my .02 worth about how my chapter dealt with me when I was pledging.

I told the pledgemaster during my pledge semester that I was bi. For the
most part, people (pledges, brothers, and alums) were quite accepting of my
sexuality. I lost a few friends because of it, but that goes with the
territory. Hell, for a brief time, I had a boyfriend that was a pledge two
semesters later (he gave great head).

As for the pledges, inform them of your Fraternity's (and your school's if
applicable) of the policies of the fraternity and school towards
disparaging remarks made towards GLBT folk.

As for the school and general community, the best way to counteract any
misconceptions that they may have is to put forth a good effort at
community relations through service projects and other things, perhaps by
positioning the openly gay brothers at service and PR events. Maybe you'll
open avenues into the GLBT community on campus.

I do not know if that helps, but email me privately if you need more help.
