I've never seen a rededication ceremony, but something I started with my
chapter a couple years ago was a little chapter history ceremony at the
end of initiation where a synopsis of each semester's history is
reviewed (example: Pledge Class Namesake, Pledge Project, Pledge
Fellowship, New major events, significant milestones, etc.) by advisors
or alumni, with one candle being extinguished for each pledge class
starting with the one inducted that day and working the way back. As
each semester's candle is extinguished, the brothers from that
semester's pledge class crosses the room, leaving the brothers with the
longest tenure for last, thereby honoring them for them dedication and
long service. In semesters where there are less than 8 semesters worth
of active brothers, the last candle is blown out in recognition of
either alumni or a DSK recipient or someone similarly significant.
What's neat about this ceremony is that it is personal to each chapter
and honors every brother.
