Br, Turner seems to be from R-III and may be excused for not knowing the
facts of this case. For many years this chapter has had membership
problems, and as such, the Regional and Sectional Staffs involved have given
this chapter more attention that most chapters. Where Br. Turner got this
impression is unknown, but it is incorrect and a slander on the many
staffers over the years who have worked with this chapter. And, yes, they
have had a number of Grad Student members.

Nevertheless, the point of this thread has been the involvement of Grad
Students in starting new chapters -- not down the road a few years! To put
the discussion back on its origional track. Offhand I don't recall any Grad
students as petitioning group members (there might have been, but I don't
rember them -- and I chartered them).

I have nver denied that sometime Grad Students are involved as members (vs.
Advisors) of new chapters, I have simply pointed out from my many
experiences, that this is a rare not the common situation.
