Her's another issue: Until a bid committee proposes a summertime convention,
it won't matter. In fact, little of this debate matters unless someone is
willing in the 2000 Convention to propose that a summer convention be held.
THen time and place committee will debate, and its merits discussed there.
Since I've yet to hear any bid committee seriously take a summer convention
to the floor, or even discuss it, this debate is really for those committees
willing to propose it. It will be interesting to see what comes of it in the
2000 bids for the 2002 site.
