Some sectional conferences are almost a year before the next national
level convention. Also the number of brothers attending the conference
may be more or less due to the time of the conference. Or some brothers
that attend one conference may not attend the other at all due to other
commitments. This would make it difficult for them to present the same
role call at that next convention.
This idea also means that you are only presenting one chapters few at the
convention of thier chapter , not of thier section. This would leave alot
of the actual identity of any given chapter, and event the section out,
because of the different dynamics of each chapter within a section.
Last I do not know how other chapters come up with role call, but ours is
often a lets make fun of the way we got here. we make up a new role call
at each convention, as a funny about our travels or recent chapter events.
At some conventions we have even made fun of other chapter that were
attending that we talk to on a regular bases, so havin a standard role
call would take away from the fun of our road trip time in which we make
up a role call.
I guess if we replaced the time with mixers, and icebreaker type things i
would find that more benificial than creating a contest that would exclude
many people form presenting thier role call or change the way they create
role call.
