>From what I have seen, the argument is, basically, that during the summer
brothers are often taking summer classes, co-oping, interning, or various other
activities.  And the reason the week between christmas and new years has held
the convention is that this is the time period in which we know most, if not
all, brothers are not doing something school related.  Work and family are the
only things that interfer, and by avoiding both Christams and New Years' Eve
themselves, the family obligations can also be met, if somewhat hurried.
