Minneapolis was the second convention I had attended, and my first to
serve as a voting delegate.

We as a convention try to cram so much into four days, and I believe
that it is up to the delegates (with the help of the chair) to monitor
the length of the debate.

As someone who has attended two conventions, I do believe that there is
one tradition that the Fraternity has outgrown: Roll Call

As much as I hate to admit it, lets face it, Roll Call is becoming quite
cumbersome. Don't get me wrong. I loved cheering for the Region VIII
chapters by screaming, "Eight is Great, We Got ***** ". But the fact
remains, Roll Call has grown to be a temendously long process in a
convention with little time to spare. As a matter of fact, many voting
delegates had to leave roll call early to start their reference
committees on time.

Recommendations:
1. Replace Roll Call with some other form of icebreaker-type
entertainment. Therefore, eveybody could still have a change to meet
people, and the voting delegates could start their proceedings earlier
and get the chance to talk to (supoena) relevant people.

2. Keep Roll Call and break it down into larger groups such as
Sections. This would breakdown the number of groups by a factor of 4,
would allow everyone to participate in Roll Call and still go to
committees. Breaking it down into sections would also allow for an
increase in the length of the skit.
