The reason that we were on the floor for so long, was because the chairs
did not do a good job of recognizing people who had approached the
microphone more than 2 times on a certain issue. I know there were
certain people that talked like 6 or 7 times on the same issue.
On most of the heavy issues like the toast song and all male stuff the
same people kept hogging the microphones.

The chairs should have had some way to recognize this like a list of
voting delegates that they could check off when they spoke 2 twice. I
know this would be difficult to do, but it would solve the problem of
having the same people expressing the same views over and over again.
I also want to thank all of the ref committees for doing such a good job
deciding to report out stuff. We could have been on the convention
floor for many more hours had they not chosen to eliminate a good number
of redundant amendments and resolutions.
